I found that interesting, more like fascinating. Multiple characters are tough for one voice, and often this becomes a problem for authors/narrators working with large teams of actors in one military scene, but these three narrators together didn't feel like three different people. Separatism spells death for all, and all that.

This is the ultimate answer for the survival of humankind, after all. just working within our talents, gifts, and dreams-as a team. Her presentation of this relationship is just as seamless as everything else about her books, as if everything is normal and we should expect to live this accepting and. Another great writing trick of AJ's is writing about poly relationships and not making you squirm in discomfort. Equality at last, in a very diverse personality way. That's tricky to pull off when conflict makes the story. He's the type of character who makes a lot of bad life choices because he's such a hothead, but that only endangers people who are weak-and none of these people are weak.

Everyone gets to play and everyone has strengths, except this villain-who makes a fool of himself. AJ made that all disappear in this book by keeping true to all of her characters-and not making it about only 2 people. I'm always a little reticent about the second book in a series, especially when I enjoyed the first book so much, but I liked this storyline-and I usually don't always like this particular storyline (ex involvement). It’s pushing us all past our limits, and frankly, I don’t know what’s going to break first: The case or Donovan’s patience.Love the MCs, great followup, seamless performance A madman running around attacking women is bad enough, but the police are demanding answers we can’t give them, and they’re not taking no for an answer. But there’s no real leads for us to follow, either, and for once my eyes can’t really help.

With three murders, six victims, and no leads, the Clarksville PD are desperate to catch the assailant. What started as a case of battery has steadily built up to homicide. Someone’s attacking women as they get off of work, hitting them in the back of the head. I’m only called in when the situation is weird or they need to solve the case fast. I’m ​rather used to the crazy cases, because let’s face it, most cops can handle the run-of-the-mill with their eyes closed.
